Generally trekking in Nepal can be undertaken all the four seasons (Autumn - September, October and November), (Winter - December, January and February), (Spring - March, April and May) and (Monsoon - June, July and August). But among these months, from September to November and from March to May are considered as the best time.

The average wind speed during October is around 8-11 km/hr.

Off Seasons (Winter and Monsoon)

Everest base camp trekking during winter season from mid December to February is cold and may mark with the heavy snowfalls. The temperature during the day time is quite warm whereas during night time is colder. Winter is the off-season with the remarkable low cost, less possibility of Kathmandu lukla flight (due to weather change, flight may be cancelled or re-scheduled), less number of trekkers and the tea-houses may close. The climate is too cold but the mountain views are clear as the sky is clear.
